Ice Hockey Rink Lighting Design

The standard ice hockey rink is 60 meters long, 30 meters wide, and the radius of the corner arc is 8.5 meters. The ball is generally made of hard rubber, 2,54 cm thick, 7.62 cm in diameter, and the ball weighs 156-170g. During the game, each team has six players, three forwards, two defenders, and one goalkeeper. Athletes hit the ball into the opponent’s goal with ice sticks, the one with the most wins.

The ice hockey rink should have very good uniformity and high horizontal illuminance to prevent glare in the arena. And since many actions of athletes take place near the fence, the shadow formed by the fence should be excluded. For the camera, the vertical illuminance near the enclosure should be guaranteed.
